WORSHIPPING TOGETHER – MARCH 29, 2020
We encourage you to worship together, whether that be as a household or in your virtual group. If you are meeting as a virtual group, your host will invite you to two sequential zoom meetings. The worship service below is divided into 3 parts (Zoom Meeting, Viewing of Pastor Dale’s Message, Zoom Meeting).
PART 1 (15-20 Minutes) (meeting online with your Zoom group)
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
God is Good! We have been praying that your week has gone well and hoping that next week brings much joy and good health.
Are you in it to win it? We were reminded in the teaching from Pastor Keith last week, that we should press on in the unique times we are in, just as Paul did. How are you doing with the challenges that Keith presented to you? Are you growing in and living for Christ? Have you discovered your gifts, are you using them? Thank Him for the ways you are being stretched by Him. Ask God to place upon your heart ways you may be able to continue to use your gifts to serve someone this week.
Quiet your hearts with a few deep breaths, and prepare to worship God in song, His word, and prayer. May His blessing be upon you.
United with you in spirit,
UBC Church Leadership.
Call to Worship (Read in Response):
We come together today as children of God. We desire to live lives of distinction.
Father, we hear your call.
We come together today as citizens of heaven. We desire to live lives of expectation.
Holy Spirit, we welcome you.
We come together today longing for renewal. We desire to live lives of endurance.
Lord Jesus, we worship you.
Worshiping Together
We Believe by Travis Ryan, Richie Fike, Matt Hooper. Performed by Don and Will Kennedy. (4min)
Verse 1
In this time of desperation
When all we know is doubt and fear
There is only one foundation
We believe we believe
In this broken generation
When all is dark You help us see
There is only one salvation
We believe we believe
Chorus
We believe in God the Father
We believe in Jesus Christ
We believe in the Holy Spirit
And He’s given us new life
We believe in the crucifixion
We believe that He conquered death
We believe in the resurrection
And He’s coming back again
(We believe)
Verse 2
So let our faith be more than anthems
Greater than the songs we sing
In our weakness and temptations
We believe we believe
Bridge
Let the lost be found and the dead be raised
In the here and now let love invade
Let the church live loud our God will save
We believe we believe
And the gates of hell will not prevail
For the pow’r of God has torn the veil
Now we know Your love will never fail
We believe we believe
Ending
He’s coming back again
He’s coming back again
We believe we believe

Come People of the Risen King by Keith and Kristyn Getty and Stuart Townend
Verse 1
Come people of the Risen King
Who delight to bring Him praise
Come all and tune your hearts to sing
To the Morning Star of grace
From the shifting shadows of the earth
We will lift our eyes to Him
Where steady arms of mercy reach
To gather children in
Chorus
Rejoice rejoice let ev’ry tongue rejoice
One heart one voice
O Church of Christ rejoice
Verse 2
Come those whose joy is morning sun
And those weeping through the night
Come those who tell of battles won
And those struggling in the fight
For His perfect love will never change
And His mercies never cease
But follow us through all our days
With the certain hope of peace
Verse 3
Come young and old from ev’ry land
Men and women of the faith
Come those with full or empty hands
Find the riches of His grace
Over all the world His people sing
Shore to shore we hear them call
The truth that cries through ev’ry age
Our God is all in all

Praying Together (Read by a Single Voice):
Sovereign Lord, we are your children, your Son’s people, people of the Risen King. We invite your Holy Spirit to be with us today and all days. We worship you, the triune God. Your mercies are great, your hope immeasurable, your love immense. We are grateful to be yours. We desire to be like Jesus and acknowledge that we often fall short. Thank you for your assurance that we are forgiven. We pray together, with all our brothers and sisters, for a healing of our world. We thank you for all those on the front-line of the pandemic that we are under. Great are the gifts and the endurance that you have given to them! Please keep them safe as they keep us safe. For those that have been touched by this virus, we ask for healing. For those that are at greater risk for this virus, we ask for safety and protection. For those that are not yet social distancing, we ask for discernment and wisdom. Help us to continue to share the good news of your love with others. Help us to be your body and to be visible to the world in a world that is withdrawing. You have given us voices, help us to find creative ways to use them. You have given us gifts, encourage us to share them in new ways. You have called us as your own. We hear you. We welcome. We worship you. United we pray, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
This morning’s Scripture Reading (Read by a Single Voice): Philippians 3:17-4:1 (NIV)
17 Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do. 18 For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. 19 Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. 20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
4 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends!

All I once thought gain I have counted loss
Spent and worthless now compared to this

You’re my all You’re the best
You’re my joy my righteousness
And I love You Lord love You Lord
Verse 2
Now my heart’s desire is to know You more
To be found in You and known as Yours
To possess by faith what I could not earn
All surpassing gift of righteousness
Verse 3
Oh to know the pow’r of Your risen life
And to know You in Your sufferings
To become like You in Your death my Lord
So with You to live and never die

Benediction (Bless each other, read this together):
5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, 6 so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
