A Special Letter – Friday July 31, 2020
Dear Friends of Uxbridge Baptist Church,
We are communicating with you today to update you on our re-opening plans.
We are making progress on plans to re-open in a way that will serve you with excellence and conform with Provincial and Public Health guidelines. We have nearly completed the installation of an upgraded audio/visual infrastructure that will enable us to livestream our services so that even if you are not in the building, you will be able to worship from home in real-time with those in the church. And, as you may have seen on the July 26 video, we have also re-designed the layout in the Sanctuary to allow for physical distancing. We will be able to be united, if not all in the same space, but it will still be a few weeks before this is possible.
In the meantime, we are pleased to announce that we have a Small Gatherings Risk Mitigation Strategy, approved by Council, that facilitates reinstating smaller gatherings for UBC ministry (such as committee meetings, planning meetings, etc.). This is a scalable strategy for groups from 6-20. If your committee would like to utilize this guideline to meet at the church, please contact Adelle in the office to receive a copy of the strategy and to book the facility. All meetings must be pre-booked.
We are excited about this first step and we will continue to communicate with you as our re-opening plans continue to emerge.
In the service of Christ,
