WORSHIPING TOGETHER – Sunday June 28, 2020

We pray that you were encouraged by the Vimeo Worship and Rev. Dr. Dale Dawson’s message, Undivided Attention. We want to thank all of those who participated in creating this week’s service. We are so grateful for your contributions.

As you continue to worship together in your online and household groups, we offer the following as a guide:

Opening Prayer: (Read by a Single Voice)

Heavenly Father, we are grateful for and blessed by your presence, both here among us today and in every moment of our lives. We admit that we sometimes get distracted and do not give you our full attention. We also admit that sometimes we choose to ignore your presence, your Word, your Will. For these, we ask forgiveness. We desire to be persons who give you our undivided attention. We desire to be a church that is focused on you, living out your will for us. We desire to be your kingdom builders, but to do so we know that we need to be focused on your plans, not ours. Help us to have an undivided attention, an undivided focus, and an unwavering spirit that we may be your light in the world and help others to know you. We pray these things today, through your Spirit and in the name of your Son. Amen.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Philippians 4:8 (NIV)

1 Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest. He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house.
